Dumb = Rich (a theoretical equation)
A New Theorem on Salary states:
Engineers, Teachers, Programmers and Scientists can never earn as much salary as business executives and sales people.
This theorem can now be supported by a mathematical equation based on the following three postulates:
Postulate 1: Knowledge is Power (Knowledge=Power)
Postulate 2: Time is Money (Time=Money)
Postulate 3 (as every Physics student knows): Power = Work/Time
It therefore follows: Knowledge = Work / Time
Since Time = Money,
We have: Knowledge = Work / Money
Solving for Money, we get: Money = Work / Knowledge
Thus, as Knowledge approaches Zero, Money approaches Infinity, regardless of the amount of Work done.
Conclusion: The Less you Know, the More you Make.
I just thought I'd share that. Don't you all feel so good about your jobs now? :-)

I cannot find a single fault in logic in that.
However, in practical terms, this equation means I should be rich beyond belief as I don't really know that much at all. Plus I do very little - if any - work.

Theory is nearly always at fault in practice, in my limited experience. I think the reason I'm not hidiously rich is that I know a little bit about a lot of things, and I work reasonably hard, when I care to.
Note to self: Must NOT try harder.

I kind of belive it, for example, when I was a chef, I worked ridiculous hours, up to 14 days in a row, mostly 12 hour shifts, on my feet all day, sweating, burning myself, cutting myself, being shouted at, being all stressed, no lunch breaks (unless grabbing a lump of bread and dipping it into some soup if you were lucky a lunch break) basically like being in the army but not getting to shoot anyone, I got paid well, but only because I worked about 20-30 hours overtime per week, now I work in Sales, I sit on my arse, have an hour and a half off for lunches etc, win prizes like booze and stuff, work 8.30-5 everyday, no weekends, no evenings, I get to arse around on the net ALL day most of the time, and I get paid more than I was when I was working 70 hours a week, the less knowledge of your job, the more money you will earn! It's the key!

Lorraine, hey, you never know, you might win a Nobel Prize or something, that's a million dollar award, so you never know. You have to be pretty clever to win that, I hear.
