Outlook WTF?
I just started using Microsoft Outlook 2003, after using a completely different email program that almost nobody uses for a few years, and getting nicely used to it and it's little idiosyncrasies and quirks. I knew how to use it, anyway. I don't really know my way around Outlook. The '2003' version has this little 'Favourite Folders' box, which I'm sure someone in Microsoft R&D though was a great idea, but I have no use for whatsoever. Trouble is, it's taking up valuable space, and I can't find any way to get the fucking thing out of my sight. Anyone got any tips out there?
And any other Outlook-ey hints and tips would be greatly appreciated too!
Cheersamundo dudes (and dudettes).

I would suggest trying to use it. I actually use it loads for foldering my most common folders.
Just drag the folders your normally use most into it.

So don't use the actual folder structure under it, is that what you mean? Or like, only use that structure for 'uncommonly' used folders?
I see. I'll give it a go anyway. I must be set in my ways or something.
But like, do you know how to get rid of the favourite folders bit? Just in case I don't want to use it, after I give it a go for a while.

So the folder strcuture grows pretty quickly. But some folders you often want to check, including outbox, and sent items as well as say "Ski Trip 07", so those folders I drag into the favourites bit.
I have no idea how to get rid of it. Since I use it, I've never had a call to get rid of it.

I use it for holding emails that I've flagged. But then I have a custom toolbar which allows one click 'assigning' of flags, based on my categories...
Ohh I'll maybe write up on me blog.. if I get time.
