Nintendo In "Advertising" Shocker

The Legend Of Zelda Twilight PrincessI just saw an ad for The Legend Of Zelda - Twilight Princess, at a minute past one in the morning, on a Friday night (morning/night/you know what I mean), on RTÉ 2, and Irish TV station. This is the first time I've ever seen an ad for a Nintendo game on an Irish TV station. EVER.

I take this to mean that Nintendo actually intend to sell some consoles and/or games in this "next" generation of gaming. Thank The FSM for that. Oh, and it's out in two weeks too! I'm literally... trembling... with anticipation.

No, seriously. I really am.

The b/f was watching the Wii ad with this blank WTF look on his face which alone might prompt me to buy one.

I think most people seem to initially view the Wii as "WTF?" at first, but apparently as soon as you pick up the controller and start waving it about like a loon it all becomes clear, and also (conveniently) fun.

Razor, aren't you meant to be in Norway?

Xbox360 f0r teh w1n... :-) I think I'll probably be persuaded to pick one up at some point. Not that I'll take much persuading. I have a 'magpie gravitating towards shiny thing' thing going on when it comes to consoles and gaming.

Sharky, I'm sure the X360 will "win" this generation of consoles, if by win you mean sell more consoles, and I'm pretty sure the PS3 will "lose" (the ?600 price tag alone will see to that).

But Nintendo will actually win, as there's no competition, seeing as they have invented a completely new way of doing things this time round.

Now all we need is a cheerleading game (DOA extreme cheerleading, anyone?) which involves twirling the Wiimote like a moron while ogling scantily-clad computer-generated ladies, and we''ll be made.

Proper games players will still be on their PCs though. ...

PC's don't count. This is the CONSOLE war we're talking about.

Sheesh. We're talking videogames and goes and brings up computer games. The neck!

Your spam filter keeps thinking I'm a cocksmoker apparently *sigh*

Depends on the words you're using, Sharky. All those porn-pushers like certain keywords, which I have blocked. Mail me the comment and I'll stick it in, sans blocked-ness.
