Ultimate Geekery
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the toy I always, always wanted, ever since I was a nipper.
I even built one myself (several years ago). In fact, I built at least three different versions. And now LEGO have decided to build one themselves, and sell it in strictly limited quantities, for an exorbitant price. And I really, really want one. My 30th birthday is in May, so if anyone is looking for a horrendously impractical, overpriced gift to buy me, this is it.
Also: Best. Favicon. Ever. Seriously. Check it out. This is the LEGO shop one, the one on the main site is red. Genius.
Also (part ii): LEGO BATMAN! :-)

Cool. As. Fuck.
Dragon's method of getting one for free: buy two (or more) and flog it on eBay for twice the asking price.

S'cool ain't it? Cooler than a really really cool thing.
Dragon's method would seem to make a lot of sense. Main problem being (for me) that I don't exactly have a couple of thousand of Euro lying around to be 'investing' in LEGO.

does this mean their is an </outerchild> tag the same way their is an inner_html and outer_html tag?
What would and outer child tag be anyway?

Dude, you totally need to get out of your flat.

$549? Can you fly in it or something?
Posted by: annie | February 13, 2007 9:55 PM
Yes Annie, that's how much it costs. To the best of my knowledge, actual flight is not possible in the "Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon™."
And I can't get it for my birthday, either, as it doesn't ship until fricking October.

Aha... it would seem it can be sourced in England for a mere 399 of our finest GBP's. It's got to be worth it. I need to treat myself. I've been working awfully hard of late. How cool would a 3ft long lego Millenium Falcon look in my home office? Awesome! Now where's the credit card...
Posted by: SharkyUK | February 14, 2007 1:17 AM
Er,... Sharky... Dunno how to tell you this but... £399 is ?595, a full ?46 more than I could get it for in Ireland.
Bummer eh? That Sterling thing is a total c***.

YOu could get it as an early Xmas present.....please no one buy this for Matt or he will NEVER leave his gaff, seriously, you have no idea how much time was spent with Lego in his youth, I can still hear that sound of searching for lego on a wooden floor now, scrape, scrape, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!
Posted by: Babs | February 14, 2007 2:28 PM
Excuse me, lil' sis', but I will SO leave the house if someone buys me this. I will leave the house carrying the Falcon at shoulder height, running at full speed, shouting "Brrrrrmmmmm! PeeeoW! PeeeoW! PeeeoW! I got him! I GOT HIM!" and other Star Wars-ey stuff.
Posted by: Matt | February 14, 2007 2:57 PM
Hey, don't get cocky, Kid.

Oh God. The more I learn about Matthew the more I begin to wonder.....WHAT HAVE I GOT MYSELF INTO!
Posted by: NKL | February 14, 2007 3:59 PM
Scrape, scrape, scrape, lego sounds on wooden floors, scrape, scrape!!
PS: Matt, if you say ANYTHING embarassing about me, you are NEVER getting a go of the Mini, plus, that gick picture of me on Flickr with the gick face is enough for a lifetime!

That's $500 smashed on the ground then .,..

That's true, but due to the very nature of LEGO, I can quite simply pick up the pieces and put them all back together again.
Which is, of course, half the fun.
