GoogleCalc
I didn't know this, and just found it out by accident. If you want any unit of measurement converted to any other unit of measurement, just type your calculation into Google in words, and it'll do the calculation for you. Brilliant eh? Well, it is in my job, where metres and feet cross paths on a regular basis.
For example, here I typed "8.8 metres to feet".

Those clever Googlers. They really are brilliant.

You can do some really wacky calculations such as 'speed of light in furlongs per fortnight'.

That's brilliant. I didn't know that. I have this little doohickey I usually fire up for conversions - EngNet Tools.
I think I'll be using google more often.
Thanks!

See, I didn't know it either! They should advertise it more. I used to have a site I'd use too, and I was searching for it when I found this.
So... The speed of light is 10^12 furlongs per fortnight... Interesting.

Also works in google spreadsheets.
Razor, interestingly, when I am really really fucking angry, I work out the speed of light in furlongs per fortnight, in my head. Because trying to keep big numbers in my head like that is so tough, it's hard to focus on being angry. cf. arguments with girlfriends
