Swollen Face

Help me ... I have a swollen face, it's not visibly swollen, but still scary to feel. I am convinced I have Bell's Palsey, even though I have no symptoms, all under my eyebrow is swollen and sore, and also I have a big lump in my jaw, sobaroonie! What if I wake up and I am the Elephant Woman. I am unimpressed with my immune system, I haven't been to the doc since November 2004 when I had a horrendous chest infection. I don't even know what time the surgery hours are ... worst face in the world.

If you have no symptoms, you don't have Bell's Palsy, methinks.

And speaking of which, if you mention Bell's Palsy again, I swear I'm going to kill you.

Em ... Bell's Palsy!! It's really sore Match, help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I think smacking you upside the head for saying Bell's Palsy again won't help. I'm afraid you're on your own (and go to the fecking doctor like your Mammy told you to!).

Do you hve a sinus infection? Do your teeth hurt? Do you have brown snot coming out your nose? That's the only thing I can think of - nonetheless, I hope you feel better soon.

I don't think I have a sinus infection, never having suffered with this before I cannot say for sure, no sore teeth and no, defo no brown snot, just a series of lumps around my eyebrow and a big lump on my jaw (It's big isn't it Matt?) and its sore to make any facial expression involving my eyebrow. I think this is a job for the doctor...aaaaaaaaagh!!

It's a "Verso lump". Just like the one I have on my ear, but bigger. Seriously.

But still, go to the doctor.

Nooo it's not, I have a big swollen eye, and now another one behind my ear, yowsa, also a rash over my eyebrow and then another rash around my hair line, scary stuff. My boss gave me the day off even though I am ready for work...so nice it's actually unreal. Will let you all know the outcome from the doc as soon as I know!

I have shingles everyone!! See I knew that I wasn't over reacting!

Shingles? Oh, dear! So have they put you on steroids? Babs will be muscular as Arnie in moments.

I am already muscular duuuude! No steroids, just these antivirals called Famvir which cost ?290 (WTF!!!!) for ten tablets. I am disgusted with my appearance, I am the elephant woman, my right eye is now so swollen that I cannot see out of it, and I have massive water blisters on the right side of my forehead and in my scalp - they are VERY painful and I want to cry but it's too sore! Sob!

Erm... did you pay ?290? If you did, then the chemist is ripping you off. They aren't allowed charge you more then ?85 per month for medicines, the government takes care of the rest. If that wasn't the case, I'd be spending that much every month.

And you may be toned, but you're not muscular, and definitely not as muscular as Arnie.

jesus cus thats desperate.
i hope u recover soon altho it takes a
while from what im told.
if u ever need any advice u should contact my aunt terry who had it very bad.
all the best love,a

No I didnt pay ?290 but could have if I was a thicko!! Help me, I look like the elephant woman, I would post a pic but I am too ashamed of what I look like, lets just say that I look like I have been in a fight!

Hey,

Just wondering if you feel better. I just got a broken nose...I think. So I know how you feel. Hope you are better.
