Sympathy For The??Workie?
So the lovely Marian who sits beside me in work, who I basically go on the doss with, and do lunch with mostly went to the dentist today and was told that she had to have ALL of her wisdom teeth out (does that mean she will be unwise??), so we were talking about it for most of the day cause neither of us had any major goss, and also, she was fairly upset about it, and then all of a sudden I began to get pains in my own wisdom teeth area, now, I have all of mine, completely, all perfect, not coming up any more, so how the fook am I getting pains in them now after almost two years pain free? The only explanation I can come up with is that I am having sympathy pains for her? Is this even possible? Who knows? But one thing is for sure, its very painful, so much so that I cannot sleep and as I refuse to take pain killers for anything, I guess I am up for the night ? groovy eh?

That's weird, Sharon in work (she's Assistant Technical Manager to me, Technical Manager) is getting all her wisdoms out next week, and the dentist advised her to take 5 days off! Luckily there's crap all on in the theatre for the week.
I (at the age of 30!) still only have 3 of my wisdoms. Dunno what that says about anything.

I got all but one of mine out and I have to say I think the pain of getting them out is totally exaggerated. Sore and all but the fecking pain from infections in them before I got them out was worse.
If she can get the sedative thingy as opposed to a general anaesthetic - much easier to recover from. Although strange to be awake and not remember anything.
PS: I am still wise (i think)

She doesn't get infections, they are coming in at a right angle to the rest of the teeth and so pushing her previously Pearl Drops Advert worthy perfect teeth out of place, so they have to take them out and do some operation more complicated than the normal extraction, so she may have to take a lot longer than only 5 days off, my jaws are still at me, strange!!

I've always been told that the later you have them out the worse the pain is. I'm 26 and I still have all four of mine. They're coming in crooked, but they don't both me much. We don't get 5 days off work for it either :-)
