Weather & Additional Ranting

Yesterday morning was lovely, but on the news (Today FM traffic & weather together) they had forecasted rain, so I braved the sun in my jacket and cycled into work, I was roasting when I got in but soon cooled down to my delight and then the rain came, so I was happy that I had brought it with me in the end, then the sunshine came again and amazingly enough stayed for the entire day and evening, I was chuffed apart from sweating it out on the bike on the way home squinting away without my lovely shades that had been discarded that morning, my old roomies mate Donncha was coming over to collect stuff that he had left behind and was waiting on the doorstep when I arrived, with a box of Lindor from Lindt (my fav), we drank copious amounts of tea (from a pot - cause I am fancy) and sat on the bench in my Amazonian garden (grass hasn't been cut in a while, I would say approx 6mths), then we went out to the driveway where I discovered that his exhaust pipe was literally hanging off "you would want to get that sorted" says I, "yeah I must" says he before he roared off into the sunset!

I wake this morning having gotten my clothes ready for the day already last night, looked out the window and yet again in this beautiful "summer" its pissing out of the heavens. "SHITE" I say rather loudly before running about swapping items of clothing for a more rain suited outfit (I had originally planned on linen 3/4 length trousers, flip flops and a green vest top for casual Friday in work, so I changed that to converse, jeans, the same vest top and a cardi and a jacket and a hat and scarf) then ran down to have my delicious and nutritious brekki and then braved the rain. It takes me approx 5-9 mins to cycle into work, in that short time (it was 5 this morning - I was peddling like a crazed loonie) I managed to get completely soaked, my jeans are stuck to my legs and are so heavy with rain that every time I stand up they nearly fall all the way down, forgot the old belt this morning and my waist has decreased considerably since I bought them 4 years ago) my feet are soaking as are my socks and my green vest top is riddled with lovely wet patches where the rain managed to soak all the way through. Now of course its not raining, whoever is in charge of the weather is super big trouble with me!!! To top it all off we are really busy today so I cannot even leggit home and I am damned if I am wasting my break time to feckin go home and change.

In other breaking news I just discovered that I can get all of my digital photos printed for really cheap and delivered to my door, yahoo!! http://www.photobox.ie

Comments

Just to make you feel really bad, the weather in Alaska, where they normally get hundreds of inches of snow and rain, has been absoutely beautiful. Me and Nikki have big red sunburned noses to prove it!

The mosquitoes are a f***ing c**t though.
