Bah, Humbugn't.

I secretly love Christmas. Not so secretly actually. This may be due in recent years to having a girlfriend (now fiancée) who is TOTALLY BRILLIANT at buying me stuff I really want (or need), without being prompted to do so in any way (I do make suggestions, usually starting about October, but usually so many that I forget half or more of them, but Nikki doesn't).
Anyway, this was actually on my Amazon Wishlist for the last ooh, year or two? Nice to knock things off the wishlist every so often. I must update that list, come to think of it.
Oh, and she got me a years subscription to EDGE Magazine too! Most awesome-est fiancée ever.
We did the whole presents thing on Saturday night after getting home from being out in town, because we were both heading our separate ways to our parents (for the last time!) for the holiday. I got her stuff she needed, and stuff she wanted as well also too. Because I am also brilliant (granted, not as brilliant as Nikki though).
Happy Christmas y'all (and happy non-denominational end-of-year holiday period to those of you who don't do that thing)!

Get out! You're barred, etc.

You ever watch "Spaced"... That's how Tim gets fired so he can back to work in Bill Bailey's comic shop, after getting sacked for denigrating too many kids wanting Phantom Menace merchandise...
"Babylon 5 is shit!"

I believe he says "Babylon 5's a big pile of shit!".
Which was, of course, a firing offense. And so it should have been.

Struck a chord obviously!
My box sets are limited to:
- Red Dwarf (Just the shows; all eight series)
- Spaced (Series 1&2)
& most controversially...
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer (all seven series)
I think that's all I have in terms of TV shows...

I have:
-Babylon 5 (obviously)
-BattleStar Galactica (woo-hoo!)
That's it. Spaced is on my shopping list though. Not sure about Buffy or Red Dwarf though. I mean, both were good while I watched them (and I did watch both of them), but not so good I'd want to watch them all again. And they're both on telly at the moment anyway.

Oh, and I have the entire Heroes and Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex on my 'pooter, via the magic of BitTorrent.

Seriously considering buying the official Airwolf box set and complementing that with a dodgy ripped from Bravo, 13 episodes of Streethawk from some dude in the states...
Geek factor ten...

Geek factor 11 more like.

Blue Thunder rocked the pants off Airwolf.
As for Streethawk, just *shudder* Why not just get the Macgyver box set and be done with it? Call it the "Shit TV set"

Blue Thunder did indeed rock the pants off Airwolf, especially the later episodes of Airwolf, which sucked donkey balls.
Streethawk was bad. I'm trying to remember the name of another 80's show with a dude who wore a cyber-suit of some kind and had a cyber-car that turned 90° corners at top speed, but the name escapes me. It was shit too anyway.

Blue Thunder? What the feck are youse smoking!!!
I'd be buying Streethawk for pure nostalgia as I don't really recall how bad the series was, just the bike... And Boy, I'm afraid...
But Blue Thunder, get out of town!!!
And you can't count Series 4 of Airwolf, that was just a load of codswallop...

Actually nevermind Blue Thunder, I can't believe I'm taking heat off someone with a Babylon 5 boxset!!!

Hey, Babylon 5 kicks ass. I'm 7 episodes into season 3, and the shit is just about to hit the fan in a big way. I'd forgotten just how much I loved the show, and I'm remembering all the greatest moments just before they happen.
It's awesome, any opinion to the contrary is just plain wrong!

It takes THREE YEARS for the shit to hit the fan?
Just kidding, I loved the third and fourth season. Fifth was a pile of balls, though.

I'm right smack in the middle of the fifth season at th moment. It's definitely not as good as the 3rd or 4th seasons, but once all that crap with Byron and the rogue telepaths is out of the way, there's lots to like.
I'm looking forward to watching the TV movies now, I haven't seen any of them yet.
