In relation to Babs' post from earlier today, here's a photo of her offending cankles:

This is what happens when you don't
- Take some aspirin
- Drink plenty of water
- wear flight socks
- stroll around every so often
When you're on a long-haul flight.
I'd say lesson learned.
Comments
Ahem I did all that apart from the Aspirin and it didn't happen on the way over smart arse!!

It can also be related to what you were eating and drinking the previous day or two before flying. If you had heavy meals and/or lots of alcohol and/or caffeine in the prior days it will be a lot worse flying than if you ate lightly and had lots of water prior to travelling.
So now so.

See I knew there was a real reason for it, it was the boozing for five days before I came home, that and all the stupid flights, Perth to Melbourne, Melbourne to Sydney, Sydney to Bangkok after a LONG delay, Bangkok to London, London to Dublin all in the space of 48 hours ish...
