Nikki's New Itty-Bitty Lappy-Toppy
Yesterday, for no particular reason (birthday, Christmas, etc.), I decided to buy Nikki an Advent 4211 Netbook from PC World in Carrickmines Retail Park. It's very, very itty-bitty and cute, but it's not a lightweight at all. It's got Windows XP (which isn't actually a bad thing at all), an Intel Atom 1.6Ghz processor, a gig of RAM, and an 80GB hard drive, webcam, loads of USB ports, and a 10 (TEN!) inch screen. The only thing it lacks is an actual optical disc drive of any sort.
It's also Nikki's very first laptop, if you don't count ones that she "had", for "work", that actually belonged to "the company".
Apparently I'm the "best fiancée ever", or something.
(it's the one on the right in the photo, the other one is my 15.4" Macbook Pro)

You can get one in PC World for as little as €395. Frankly, I don't see how anyone can not buy one at that price. They're practically giving them away!

I bought mine for €400 and within days the buggers had knocked it down to €380. After I bought mine, people I know or have showed mine to have bought 3 more from PC World. I should be getting commission!
