  • If you've never played a game in Nintendo's "Zelda" series (and if you haven't, why not? They're officially the "Best Games Ever?"), you'll most likely think that this clip looks like the biggest pile of hokey rubbish you've ever seen, with below-par effects and terrible acting. If, on the other hand, you've played 7-10 of the Zelda games (like me), and absolutely loved them, you'll probably be looking forward to seeing this as much as you were looking forward to seeing Lord of the Rings in 2001, and the choral version of the Song of Time playing over the end credits of the clip will most likely make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Or maybe it's just me.

  • NEW TRAILER FOR TRON LEGACY. I cannot describe how excited I am about this, but it's probably at least as excited as I was about Lord of the Rings.
    (tags: tron trailer)
  • 'In the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Japan, the main tank called the "Kuroshio Sea" holds 7,500-cubic meters (1,981,290 gallons) of water and features the world's second largest acrylic glass panel, measuring 8.2 meters by 22.5 meters with a thickness of 60 centimeters. Whale sharks and manta rays are kept amongst many other fish species in the main tank.' Absolutely stunning.
  • Good list. If we don't know all these things by next Spring, Lost may then actually suck. A bit.

  • After taking a pretty extended hiatus from t-shirt buying, this may be the shirt that makes me fall off the wagon.

  • 'Hitting bookshelves this May is Seth Grahame-Smith's "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", an "updated" version of the Jane Austen classic that includes new portions featuring violent, flesh-hungry zombie hordes. "Hollywood studios are bidding to turn a radical reworking of Austen?s most popular book" into a blockbuster movie.' Sounds too awesome for words.

  • The Canadian Film Board have put this film online for free - "Murray Siple's feature-length documentary follows a group of homeless men who have combined bottle picking with the extreme sport of racing shopping carts down the steep hills of North Vancouver. This subculture depicts street life as much more than the stereotypes portrayed in mainstream media. The film takes a deep look into the lives of the men who race carts, the adversity they face and the appeal of cart racing despite the risk. Shot in high-definition and featuring tracks from Black Mountain, Ladyhawk, Vetiver, Bison, and Alan Boyd of Little Sparta"

  • I'm sure I've linked to this before (Big Picture, perhaps?) but this is simply one of the most incredibly beautiful images of space ever recorded. The most beautiful planet in the Solar System as you've never seen it before, in stunning high-resolution (and "ice-fountains of the moon Enceladus" sounds like something from Star Wars).
  • A huge pile of 2008 mashups for your listening pleasure. A bit poppy in places, but still rather good.

  • "63 years old and with only 42,342 original miles showing on its odometer, this Dodge personifies the term 'reference car'. More importantly, it represents a rare opportunity to experience how it felt driving a new car in the 1940s" - Brilliant story.
  • Stephen Fry reviews the new Blackberries. Result: The Blackberry Bold is pretty good (for a Blackberry), whereas the Blackberry Storm is a steaming pile of smelly dog poo. And the iPhone is awesome, despite it's flaws. Brilliant stuff.

  • Stunning. When he says "I?d especially recommend that you check out the two small strips below" he ain't kidding. If an "Art of Wall-E" book comes out I'm totally buying it (and whenever I get a coffee table, it will immediately collapse under the strain of all my coffee-table books)
  • This looks like it's really going to rock. The only problems I can see are that I can't see John Cho (Sulu) as anyone other than Harold, I can't see Zachary Quinto (Spock) as anyone other than Sylar, and Simon Pegg isn't Scottish. If I can suspend those initial disbelief's, I may like this more than II, IV, VI, and VIII. Here's hoping. Fingers crossed. Pray to Jebus.
  • Stunning. I really want to get this, but 1) I don't have $200 to spend on an ornament (or do I...?), and 2) Nikki would under no circumstances allow me to put it anywhere in the house. This is why I need a garden, so I can have a garden shed, to put stuff like this in there.
